[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Fifi Fernandez, cousin of HOPE USA’s Social Media and Fundraising Officer, Ellie Dixon, held a bake sale on May 12th to raise funds and awareness for HOPE’s life-saving projects in Kolkata, India.
The bake sale took place at Fifi’s school, Greenwich Academy (GA), a K-12 college-preparatory school in Connecticut. As GA is also an all-girls school, Fifi felt particularly inspired to support the female students in HOPE’s care, conscious of the fact that women’s education is stunted by the societal prioritization of male education in India.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Thanks to her initiative, planning, and baking skills, she raised an astounding $648.36 to support the vulnerable street-connected and slum-dwelling children in HOPE’s care. Thank you, Fifi and Greenwich Academy, for your incredible support of HOPE, and we hope to be back at GA soon.
